Google data and permissions

HomeOps connects to Google through OAuth, with the user’s authorization. It uses:

• Gmail data: email content and associated information needed for the user’s own automations. Gmail access is for reading.
• Google Calendar data: calendar and event information needed for the user’s own automations.
• Calendar write access: creation and updates of events only in a dedicated calendar owned by the user, using a limited OAuth scope. HomeOps does not use this write access to modify events in the user’s other calendars.
• Authorization credentials: OAuth tokens needed to maintain the authorized connection to Google.

The permissions requested are shown in Google’s authorization flow.

How information is used

Google account data is used to run the personal automations configured by the user, including reading relevant email and calendar information and creating or updating events in the dedicated calendar.

HomeOps does not sell personal data, use it for advertising, or share it with third parties except Google and service providers necessary to deliver the configured functionality.

Processing and storage

Where relevant to an automation, processing and storage take place locally in the user-controlled HomeOps environment. HomeOps also communicates with Google and any necessary service providers used by that automation; processing is therefore not exclusively local.

Locally stored information may include data used by automations, their outputs, and OAuth credentials. Storage and deletion are managed within the user’s own HomeOps installation. This policy does not specify a fixed retention period.

Your control and removing access

You can stop the automations and revoke HomeOps’ access at any time through your Google Account connections. Select HomeOps and remove its access. See Google’s guidance on managing app connections.

Revoking access stops further authorized access to Google data. It does not automatically delete information already stored in the HomeOps environment or calendar events already created. You can remove local data and credentials from your installation and manage created events in Google Calendar.

This website

mo-creations.net provides information about Mo Creations and HomeOps. These static pages contain no sign-in form, advertising, analytics scripts, or cookies set by the page code. They do not read your Gmail or Calendar data.

The hosting provider, Cloudflare, may process standard connection information, such as IP addresses and request details, to deliver and protect the website.

Scope and updates

HomeOps is operated for private use by its account owner and is not offered as a public service. The account owner manages the installation, its data, and its Google authorization. This policy will be updated if the described use changes.
